Hello! I’m Tamara. I was born and raised by a single mom in Silverton, Oregon. In 2018, I moved to Portland and began what became nearly a decade-long career in the service industry. I worked in cafés, bars, and restaurants, where I gained invaluable experience in running businesses centered on genuine care and client satisfaction.

After COVID, staying in the service industry became increasingly difficult. In 2024, I decided to take a leap of faith and start Aura Home Refresh with nothing more than a few cleaning products, a Swiffer—and not even a car. I will forever be grateful to the people who supported me during that time. Through this journey, I connected deeply with my inner SE community, met some of the kindest people I’ve ever known, and to this day remain incredibly thankful to everyone who invites me into their home.

In December of 2025, my mom—who had cleaned professionally for several years in the past—offered to help me on weekends. What began as a solo venture quickly grew into a family business. She’s the hardest worker I know, balancing this work alongside her full-time 9–5 job at a rehabilitation facility.

At the heart of Aura Home Refresh, we are simply two hardworking women who care deeply about people and take great pride in the work we do.
